Engagement is important because it is your visibility source. The more interactions you get, the more reach you’ll have.

There is another great advantage of massive engagement. Your audience will also see you as a leader (even if you’re not there yet).

When you are sharing your posts, make sure you include tips that solve one problem. If you’re going to try to solve multiple problems, you’ll overwhelm your followers.

I’ve done that many times, but I’ve learned my lesson hehe.

So instead of over-delivering on knowledge, try to make one person feel understood, and help them with that one obstacle they have.

Your Facebook engagement will get better with time because your audience will feel like you know them.

They will start by liking your posts, and eventually they’ll start leaving meaningful comments.

Now let’s look at some ideas of value posts:

  • Share your best tip about a specific topic in your niche that most of your audience struggles with
  • Create a video (live or recorded) about how you do something specific
  • Share your step-by-step guide
  • Create a fun & easy challenge
  • Share a “How I” blog post, video, or social media post
  • Make a fun infographic (people love them!)

You should inspire and entertain them with your own stories as much as possible.

Some people argue that posting at the right time doesn’t matter anymore. But I disagree.

If your target audience lives in the USA, then you obviously don’t want to post at 3 am while they’re sleeping.

3.) Laser target your audience:

If you don’t know who your target audience is, you will waste a lot of your precious time selling to the wrong people.

But I’m sure you value your time, so keep reading.

You can’t sell your digital products to people who are not interested in them. And you also can’t sell to people who don’t like and trust you.

That’s why it’s really important to define your target audience, then get to know them even better and build a meaningful relationship.

4.) Short posts are better for Facebook engagement:

Yeah, it’s called FaceBOOK, but let’s be honest, people don’t come there to read extremely long posts.

Now, don’t get me wrong, you can still share a longer post, but you’ll have to nail the storytelling part well.

I would suggest that you test and tweak.

Start with shorter posts, then make slightly longer ones, and learn how to write them in a way that makes people want to engage with you.

5.) Share quality content:

Are you sharing a lot of quotes? Look, they’re the easiest thing to share when you don’t know what to talk about.

But quotes won’t make you money (except if you’re in that niche).

It’s okay to post quotes here and there, but it’s more important to share your stories and values.

That way, your followers will get to know who you are and what you stand for. So if you do share a quote, explain how that quote helped you, or how it made you feel.

Give your perspective and opinion on the quote’s topic.

Now you might be wondering, what else can you share besides quotes?

Here are some great ideas that will help you build your brand and Facebook engagement:

  • Talk about your story (be vulnerable),
  • Share your experience and knowledge,
  • Post about your life (lifestyle),
  • Share quick tips that helped you achieve something,
  • Post your selfies (they work well for engagement boost)

6.) Use great (quality) images:

Have you ever seen someone who used low-resolution images? Did they have a lot of Facebook engagement on their posts? Probably NOT.

If you want to attract people to your posts, use quality and interesting images.

That doesn’t mean you have to get professional pictures. You can use different AI tools. Or just take your own photos.

But make sure they’re not grainy.

7.) Ask questions to fire up your Facebook Engagement:

Usually, when you ask a question, people respond to it. This is a great way to boost your Facebook engagement and get more eyeballs on your posts.

But there’s another hack that works like magic.

Besides asking questions in your posts, you should ask them in the comments too. So when someone comments on your post, and you reply, you keep the conversation going.

8.) Respond to comments and boost your Facebook engagement:

When you respond to comments, you also boost your post into your audience’s news feed. So don’t ignore when someone replies to your post.

Try to interact as soon as possible because Facebook loves that. And also because the person who left a comment 1 min ago is probably still online.

That’s how you can keep the conversation going without posting more. It’s that simple, hehe.

9.) Be consistent and don’t give up:

I know, we all give this tip to be consistent. But it’s because too many people quit too soon. I’ve seen some digital creators who’ve quit in the first week.

But you’re not going to be like them.

So let’s create a content plan that you can easily follow. What helped me is to time myself and see how long each task in my business takes me to finish.

Then I created AI systems that help me finish those tasks faster.

After, I made a test plan to see if I can keep up with it. And if I put too much on my plate (which often happens lol), I tweaked the plan or the system.

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of other people’s stories on my feed. If you’re seeing them too, then it’s time to use them more often.

Here is the most important lesson I learned from working online for more than 10 years:

Look at what shows up the most often. That’s what Facebook wants you to see and do more of.

So post more Stories because it can help your business grow, get more engagement, and connect better with people.

11.) Be active in Facebook groups:

When your name pops up in groups consistently, more people will start noticing you, especially if you help them out.

They’ll start following you or sending you friend requests.

That’s what I’ve been doing for years (on and off, to be honest), and it has brought me more reach and new followers.

Groups have always been a goldmine for connections and getting followers. They are totally free, but you must be helpful, stand out, and NEVER spam links.

Facebook rewards real help and conversations. Quality comments and replies get your name shown to more people.

So here’s what you can do today:

  • Join 5 targeted groups where your ideal audience hangs out and asks questions you can answer.
  • Spend 15-30 minutes per day interacting: read posts, then add helpful comments with real tips or your experience.
  • Don’t sell. Many groups ban promotion. Give value first to attract followers to your page or profile. When they trust you, they’ll reach out or buy from your posts.

Be consistent and genuine. This builds followers who actually care about your business.

12.)  Use CTAs ( call to action):

Every post you make needs a clear call to action. Tell people exactly what you want them to do next.

I’ve learned this from years of posting: posts without any direction get ignored. But there’s something else I’ve learned that can actually kill your reach.

Facebook has strict rules against engagement bait, like “Comment YES if you agree,” “Like my post if you agree,” or “Tag a friend who needs this.”

Those CTAs trigger the engagement bait filter and lower your post’s visibility big time.

The Facebook algorithm wants real, meaningful interactions, not forced likes, comments, or shares. So focus on genuine CTAs that invite actual conversation or next steps, for example:

  • Use simple, helpful ones: “What questions do you have?”
  • If you want them to comment, you can say: “Drop a note below. I would love to read your feedback.”
  • And if you want more likes, say: “Give this post some sweet love ❤️”

Just avoid anything that feels like begging for reactions.
